The Best Damn Book Box

There was a paper in the box detailing all the products inside.  The theme for April was 'All That Glitters.'

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead (Hardcover)

I've been wanting to read this latest book from Richelle Mead.  :)

Retail Value:  $19.99  Amazon Price:  $12.44

Goodreads Rating:  3.45

Goodreads Synopsis:

Big and sweeping, spanning from the refined palaces of Osfrid to the gold dust and untamed forests of Adoria, The Glittering Court tells the story of Adelaide, an Osfridian countess who poses as her servant to escape an arranged marriage and start a new life in Adoria, the New World. But to do that, she must join the Glittering Court.
Both a school and a business venture, the Glittering Court is designed to transform impoverished girls into upper-class ladies who appear destined for powerful and wealthy marriages in the New World. Adelaide naturally excels in her training, and even makes a few friends: the fiery former laundress Tamsin and the beautiful Sirminican refugee Mira. She manages to keep her true identity hidden from all but one: the intriguing Cedric Thorn, son of the wealthy proprietor of the Glittering Court.
When Adelaide discovers that Cedric is hiding a dangerous secret of his own, together they hatch a scheme to make the best of Adelaide’s deception. Complications soon arise—first as they cross the treacherous seas from Osfrid to Adoria, and then when Adelaide catches the attention of a powerful governor.
But no complication will prove quite as daunting as the potent attraction simmering between Adelaide and Cedric. An attraction that, if acted on, would scandalize the Glittering Court and make them both outcasts in wild, vastly uncharted lands…

Glittery Bookmark &
The Glittering Court Button Pin Mirror + Tattoo

I love this bookmark.  Very pretty.  The ends of my bookmark came off when I took it out of the box but I was able to put them back on.  I could always use a mirror to stick in my purse but I'll probably never wear the temporary tattoo.  I'm not sure what the retail value would be on these items but they definitely go along with the theme.

Lady of the Court Print & a Glittering Court Scented Candle

More items that go with the theme 'All That Glitters.'  The print is cute but I'm not sure if I would frame it and put it up somewhere.  The candle has a lovely scent of amber, vanilla, and jasmine.  I love receiving candles in subscription boxes.

Book Tote

I love this tote!  It has a quote from The Glittering Court on the front: "Don't You Know That I'd Lie With You In The Groves Under The Light Of The Moon?  That I'd Defy The Laws Of Gods And Men For You?"

My Thoughts:  I really loved the April box.  I can't wait to read The Glittering Court but it might be a while before I pick it up since I have too many books I haven't read yet.  I'm a book hoarder!  I loved the way all the bookish goodies went along with the theme of the box.  My favorite bookish goodies in this box were the book tote and the candle.  I think this is a great box if you love reading young adult novels because they seem to be sending highly anticipated new releases.  My only gripe is that shipping has been delayed with the past couple of boxes.  I'm still waiting for May's box and I haven't received a shipping notice yet but I know they recently moved and they have gotten a lot of subscribers over the past couple of months so that's probably why some of the May boxes were delayed.
