Every Owlcrate comes with an information card describing the items inside.  This month subscribers either received the 'Good' box or the 'Evil' box.  I received the 'Good' box.  Darn!  I really wanted the 'Evil' box.

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

I finished this book last night and I really loved it.  It had a lot of action and I loved the main characters.  This was the second month in a row that Owlcrate and Uppercase sent the same book but they both now offer a refund for half the price of the "Amazon price" of the book (if you receive the same book in both subscriptions in the same month).  I think that's awesome!

Goodreads Rating:  4.20 stars

Goodreads Synopsis:

There’s no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from author Victoria Schwaba young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books.
Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city—a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent—but he’s one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who’s just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August’s secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives.

Owlcrate also included a letter from the author and a signed bookplate!

Illuminae Inspired Sticker by Drop and Give Me Nerdy &
Promotional Bookmark for Every Hidden Thing

Illuminae was an awesome book.  If you haven't read it yet you should go check it out because it's really a unique book.  This pretty Illumine inspired sticker from Etsy shop Drop and Give Me Nerdy says, "You have me until the last star in the galaxy dies..you have me."  The other item included in this month's box was a bookmark promoting an upcoming book from Kenneth Oppel called "Every Hidden Thing."

Subscribers also received a preview of next month's Owlcrate.  The theme is 'Fast Times at YA High'

Subscribers will receive a piece of jewelry inspired by the book "Eleanor & Park"

My Thoughts:  I loved this month's Owlcrate!  I didn't even care that I received the same book in Uppercase because all the bookish items in this box were awesome.  I really loved all the items included in this box.  This Savage Song was an excellent book, the Dobby Pop Figure is super cute, the necklace from Vector Engraving is awesome, the Illuminae inspired sticker is pretty, and the Alice bookmark is really cool.  I have to say even though I was hoping to receive the 'Evil' box I really loved everything in the 'Good' box.
