Beautycon Box

YouTube celebrity Bunny Meyer helped to curate the Spring 2016 Beautycon Box.  I love her videos!  You should definitely go check her out on YouTube (@grav3yardgirl)

Cool packaging!

This box came with an information card detailing all the items inside.  Bunny's face was on the front of the card.

The other side of the card had all the product information.

NYX- Matte Finish Setting Spray &
Glamglow- YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment (15 g)

I can't wait to try both of these products.  The NYX Matte Setting Spray is a lightweight, water based setting spray and keeps your makeup looking matte.  I never used a makeup setting spray before but I want to try this out.  The Glamglow YouthMud looks like it will be a great face exfoliating treatment.  We shall see!

NYX Setting Spray Retail Value:  $7.99
Glamglow YouthMud Retail Value:  $20-$22

Maybelline NY-The Rock Nudes Palette

I really love the eyeshadow colors in this palette.  I've been wearing some of the lighter shades to work and I'll definitely wear the darker shades the next time I go out.

Maybelline The Rock Nudes Retail Value:  $11.99 (approximate)

Here's a closer look at the pretty eyeshadows.

Murad- Essential-C Day Moisture SPF 30 &
Benefit Cosmetics- They're Real Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara

The Murad Essential-C Day Moisture is actually part of a 3 step skin regimen to treat skin discoloration but this product can be used alone to protect your skin from the sun.  I have a couple Benefit They're Real Mascaras now because I received them before in some of my makeup subscriptions.  It is a good mascara because it seems to make my eyelashes look longer and fuller.

Murad Essential-C Moisture Retail Value:  $11 (approximate)
Benefit They're Real Mascara Retail Value:  $8 (approximate)

Garnier SkinActive- Purifying Oil-Free Cleansing Towlettes

These Garnier SkinActive Towelettes draw out dirt, oil, makeup, and remove oil.  These particular towelettes contain charcoal and are made for oily skin.  These are also non comedogenic and gentle to the skin.  My skin does tend to get oily so I definitely will use these a lot.

Garnier SkinActive Towlettes Retail Value:  $6 (approximate)

Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick in Tender Heart

I received this lipstick in another beauty box and I'm not that big of a fan.  I love that this product is 100% vegan and cruelty free ( I think every product should be cruelty free) but it kind of smells like clay.  The scent is definitely not that appealing but I do like this shade.

Pacifica Power of Love Lipstick Retail Value:  $10

Beautyblender Micro Mini's

I've been wanting to try the Beautyblender for a while now so I was happy that this box contained the micro.mini sponges.  These micro.mini sponges are perfect for applying makeup onto the smallest parts of the face and they are one fourth the size of the original Beeautyblender.

Beautyblender Micro.Mini Sponges Retail Value:  $18

Beautycon x Grav3yardgirl- Tie-dye Hair Ties

These hair ties were made exclusively for this box.  I love the colors!

Retail Value:  $5?

Beautycon x Grav3yardgirl- Keychain

This creepy looking keychain is another exclusive product designed by Grav3yardgirl and Beautycon.

Retail Value:  $??

Dolls Kill- $20 Gift Card

Subscribers also received this $20 gift card to use at Dolls Kill.  I looked at their site and most of the items look a little too young for me but I'll be ordering something on there.

**There is one thing that was missing from this month's box- the Nail Wraps.  I was not the only subscriber with missing nail wraps this month.  I contacted customer service and was told that there was a design flaw in the latest batch of nail wraps and the nail wraps would be mailed out to subscribers at a later date.  I was then sent an e-mail stating that my nail wraps were mailed out and I should be getting them within the next week.  This was about 3 weeks ago.  Still no nail wraps.  :(

My Thoughts:  This box would have gotten an A+ from me if they didn't have this nail wrap debacle.  I appreciate the fact that they didn't send the nail wraps because of the design flaw but they never notified anyone about this issue and every subscriber had to e-mail them to find out what was going on.  Please keep this in mind if you're thinking of subscribing to this box.  It seems like they have to get a little more organized in keeping subscribers properly informed.  Many subscribers were upset because they were never told about the missing product and I don't blame them.

Despite the nail wrap issue, I really loved the contents of the Spring Beautycon Box.  This box totaled over $100 so this was definitely a great value for a $36 box.  The Spring box was jam packed with awesome beauty products and I really loved every product I received.  I just hope I finally get the nail wraps.  Only time will tell.  :)

**Please Note:  The Spring boxes have sold out.  The next box to ship will be the Summer 2016 box.  It looks like their website is currently undergoing maintenance and you won't be able to subscribe or access your account until after June 4th.
