Litcube is a monthly book subscription box.  Each month subscribers will receive an awesome book and bookish goodies. Every box is sure to include a readable, a wearable (t-shirts, etc.), and a snackable.  This is not a young adult book box so some of the featured books will be adult novels and every box will center around a theme.

Price:  $34.95 per month.

Shipping:  Free to the U.S.,  $10 to Canada, and $14.99 to all other countries.

Want to see what was inside the March 2016 Litcube?  Let's find out!

Litcube

Litcube comes in a cute box.

Every box includes an information card detailing all the items inside.  The theme for March was 'Time Travel'

Loop by Karen Akins (hardcover)

This is a book I've been wanting to read.  It's the first book in a series.

Retail Value:  $18.99  Amazon Price:  $17.02

Goodreads Rating:  3.74

Goodreads Synopsis:

At a school where Quantum Paradox 101 is a required course and history field trips are literal, sixteen year-old time traveler Bree Bennis excels…at screwing up.

After Bree botches a solo midterm to the 21st century by accidentally taking a boy hostage (a teensy snafu), she stands to lose her scholarship. But when Bree sneaks back to talk the kid into keeping his yap shut, she doesn't go back far enough. The boy, Finn, now three years older and hot as a solar flare, is convinced he's in love with Bree, or rather, a future version of her that doesn't think he's a complete pain in the arse. To make matters worse, she inadvertently transports him back to the 23rd century with her.

Once home, Bree discovers that a recent rash of accidents at her school are anything but accidental. Someone is attacking time travelers. As Bree and her temporal tagalong uncover seemingly unconnected clues—a broken bracelet, a missing data file, the art heist of the millennium—that lead to the person responsible, she alone has the knowledge to piece the puzzle together. Knowledge only one other person has. Her future self.

But when those closest to her become the next victims, Bree realizes the attacker is willing to do anything to stop her. In the past, present, or future.

Something important to note is this book came with a remainder mark.  A remainder mark usually means that the book is overstock from the publisher.  It is still a brand new book and the inside pages are not affected.  If you read some of this blog you'll know I'm obsessed with Book Outlet and this book is currently priced at $2.99 on their site.

Dr. Who Quote Tee

The wearable for this month was this awesome Dr. Who t-shirt.  I love it!  Litcube will ask you for your t-shirt size when you sign up.

Retail Value:  $19.99

Hermione Time Turner

This is such a cute, interesting necklace!

Retail Value:  $8.99

Here's a closer look at the wording on the necklace.
It says:
'I mark the hours every one,
nor have I yet outrun the sun,
My use and value, unto you,
are gauged by what you have to do'
Is it just me or does the word 'gauged' look like 'yauyed'?  Maybe it's supposed to look like that?  Oh well..it's still cool.

Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Candle by Frostbeard Candles

I love candles from Frostbeard!  This candle smells quite lovely.

Retail Value:  $4.99

Travel Pocket Journal

This is an adorable travel journal but I probably won't use it much since I never travel anywhere.  I'll have to plan a trip now.  :)

Retail Value:  $5.99

Here's a look at the inside of the travel journal.

That's It. Fruit Bar

This fruit bar is made with natural, non-GMO fruit.  Awesome.

Retail Value:  $1.99

Subscribers also received a bonus bookmark.

My Thoughts:  This was my first Litcube and I liked it.  The book was one that I had been wanting to read but I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a newer release (it was released in 2014) and that I could buy it for a cheap price on Book Outlet.  My favorite items in this box were the t-shirt, the candle, and the necklace.  I think the bookish items included were perfect for the theme of Time Travel and I will be using most of them.  I hope that Litcube includes a newer release next month.
