Owlcrate

This month's theme was 'Myths & Legends'.  Owlcrate always does such a nice job with curation.  I love what they included this month!

The November 2015 Owlcrate contained:

Soundless by Richelle Mead (Hardcover)

I haven't read this yet but I'm looking forward to it.  This book has gotten mixed reviews but it sounds like an awesome story.  This book currently has a 3.47 star rating on Goodreads.  Owlcrate also included an exclusive Soundless bookmark and tattoos from Richelle's other series.

Retail Value:  $19.99   Amazon Price:  $14.02

Goodreads synopsis:

From Richelle Mead, the #1 internationally bestselling author of Vampire Academy and Bloodlines, comes a breathtaking new fantasy steeped in Chinese folklore.

For as long as Fei can remember, there has been no sound in her village, where rocky terrain and frequent avalanches prevent residents from self-sustaining. Fei and her people are at the mercy of a zipline that carries food up the treacherous cliffs from Beiguo, a mysterious faraway kingdom.

When villagers begin to lose their sight, deliveries from the zipline shrink and many go hungry. Fei’s home, the people she loves, and her entire existence is plunged into crisis, under threat of darkness and starvation.

But soon Fei is awoken in the night by a searing noise, and sound becomes her weapon.

Richelle Mead takes readers on a triumphant journey from the peak of Fei’s jagged mountain village to the valley of Beiugo, where a startling truth and an unlikely romance will change her life forever..

Fairytale Tea from Adagio Teas (Snow White)

I don't usually drink tea but this tea smelled great so I think I'm going to try it.  Every subscriber received one of four different types of fairytale tea.  I'm happy with Snow White.

Camp Half-Blood bracelet by The Colorful Geek

This is a cute bracelet but I don't really know much about the Percy Jackson book series.  I'll have to check it out.

Mermaid Pocket Mirror by My Clockwork Castle

I needed a new pocket mirror and this one is very cute.

Retail Value:  $4.53?

Castle Locket Necklace by The Geeky Cauldron

This is such a pretty necklace.  :)

Here's a closeup of the castle.  It's actually a locket.  So cute!

Tara's Take:  I'm always excited to receive my Owlcrate in the mail because it's such a great subscription box.  I love the books they select and they do a wonderful job choosing bookish goodies to go along with the monthly theme.  This month's box has a value of over $50 which is great for a $37 box.  I'm definitely keeping this subscription.  I can't wait for December's box!
